Obituary: Terry Watkins, 67
Terry was proud to be one of the members of the founding committee of the North Kingstown Father's Day Soccer Tournament.

Terry Watkins, 67, of Saunderstown, passed away Monday, July 29. He was the beloved husband of Pat (Shea) Watkins for 46 years. Born in Hollywood, Fla., he was the son of the late Milo D., Jr., and Doris C. (Terry) Watkins.
He graduated from St. John's Military Academy and received a degree in mathematical engineering from Roger Williams University.
A 14-year veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served in the Vietnam conflict.
After retiring from the Navy he worked in the defense industry for Purvis and EG&G. He later was the security architect for Citizens Bank.
He was a voracious reader and loved to travel; and fulfilled his lifelong dream of visiting Russia and Alaska.

Besides his wife, he leaves two children, Michelle Garton and her husband Tim of British Columbia, Canada, and Michael Watkins and his wife Angie of Bradford; and four grandchildren, Charlie and Jocko Garton, Kaylee and Dylan Watkins.
A graveside service with military honors will be held Saturday, August 3, at 10 a.m. in the R.I. Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter. Relatives and friends are asked to meet at the administration building at 9:45 a.m. prior to the service. Visiting hours Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Fagan-Quinn Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Road, North Kingstown.
