Raymond P. Rochette, 89: Founding Member, St. Francis de Sales Church

Raymond P. Rochette, 89, of North Kingstown, died Sunday, July 21, 2013 at Kent Hospital. He was the beloved husband of 69 years to Elizabeth Rose (O'Connell) Rochette. Born in Worcester, MA, he was a son of the late Joseph L. Rochette and Louise Anna (Grimshaw) Rochette.

Mr. Rochette proudly served and retired from the U.S. Navy as an Aviation Machinist. He was a founding member of St. Francis de Sales Church, and a member of the Fleet Reserve Association Branch 42. He played volleyball, becoming the East Coast Champions.

He leaves his four loving children: Patricia A. Pace and her husband James of East Greenwich, Paul S. Rochette of North Kingstown, Laura J. Mittelsteadt and her husband Stephan of East Greenwich, and Jeffrey D. Rochette and his wife Theresa of Woodstock, CT. Cherished grandfather of 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Robert L. Rochette.
