Getting Noticed, Carts Come Today, Busy Saturday

Zoning Notice Registry - The Town of Smithfield has established a public notice registry allowing any person or entity to register for electronic notice (email) of any public hearing related to changes to the local regulations related to subdivision of land and for any public hearing related to zoning ordinance amendments. 

Carts Today - Home delivery of your new trash and recycling carts began Sept. 17. All residents should receive their new carts by Friday, Oct. 4.

Automated collection of trash and recycling will begin the week of Oct. 7 on your normally scheduled collection day. Please do not use your new carts until then. 

SFD Open House Saturday - The Smithfield Fire Department is hosting their annual open house Oct. 5 from 12-4 p.m. at 607 Putnam Pike. The event is sponsored by Smithfield Fire Department, Home Depot and Papa Gino’s.

Healthcare Law Open House Liberty Tax Service, at 10A Cedar Swamp Road will answer questions about the Affordable Care Act Saturday, Oct., from 10 - 2 p.m. 

Festival/Car Show Saturday - A Fall Festival Antique & Classic Car Show will be held at The Village at Waterman Lake, 715 Putnam Pike, Saturday, Oct. 5, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The event features DJ Cruisin' Bruce Palmer, Food & Craft Vendors, rides, on-site parking, and free admission.
