State Trooper Log: Court Scofflaw, DUI Arrest

RI State Troopers nabbed a court scofflaw and an alleged drunk driver last week.

The first arrest happened Sept. 9, 3:30 p.m., when troopers made a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 44 in Smithfield.

The driver, Jacqualyn Revell, 20, of 284 Central St., Burrilville, RI, was wanted on a Sixth District Court bench warrant for Failure to Appear/Ability to Pay on a charge of Driving on a Suspended License from Woonsocket Police. Troopers arrested her, taking her to the Scituate Barracks where she was processed, and later transported to the ACI.

Then, at 9:53 p.m. the same day, Troopers stopped Emily Gardiner, 27, of 576 Lafayette Road, North Kingstown on Rte. 44 in Smithfield, ultimately arresting her for DUI, first offense, blood alcohol unknown; and refusal to submit to a chemical test.

Gardiner was transported to Headquarters where she was processed and held overnight pending morning arraignment at Third District Court.
