Troopers, SPD nab man for third violation of no-contact order
On Oct. 3, members of the Violent Fugitive Task Force and the Smithfield Police Department arrested John Perras, 30, with a last known address of 63 Farnum Pike, Smithfield, RI, on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant from Smithfield Police for violation of a no contact order - third offense. Perras was turned over to the Smithfield Police Department.

Troopers arrest man for skipping RI court, fleeing justice in MA
On Oct. 2, members of the Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Peter J. Moscarelli, 48, of 250 Smithfield Road, Apartment EF12, North Providence, RI, for the following Providence Superior Court Warrants: 1) Failure to Appear on a B&E Building / Felonious Intent; 2) Failure to Appear for Felony Shoplifting; 3) Failure to Appear on a B&E Building / Felonious Intent; 4) Failure to Appear for Driving Without Consent; 5) Failure to Appear for Second Degree Robbery; and 6) Fugitive From Justice from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for a Felony Larceny charge from Seekonk Police. Moscarelli was turned over to the Cranston Police Department.
