New Trash System: The Town of Smithfield is moving to an automated trash and recycling pick-up system, starting Oct. 1. Here's what you need to know about the new program.

You won't even need to bring yor own coffee — a light Continental breakfast will be served. $10 for members. $20 for nonmembers.

Dogs Days? The Smithfield Zoning Board of Review will hold public hearings Wednesday, 7 p.m. at Smithfield Town Hall, 64 Farnum Pike. Among the items on their agenda, they'll consider a special use permit for 3 Industrial Drive, to operate a dog daycare with grooming and kennel services in an industrial district.
