What's Happening This Weekend in Smithfield?

Here's the run-down of weekend events in and around Smithfield for June 28 to 30, 2013.

Following a gray week, this weekend is expected to bring more of the same — clouds and the chance of rain are expected to linger all weekend in Smithfield.
So if getting outdoors doesn't work, check out some of the indoor activities scheduled for this weekend.

Saturday, June 29:

  • 11 am: Ice Cream Party at 265 Putnam Pike to benefit Friends of Homeless Animals. $15 ticket gets one "human" ice cream from Scoops and one doggie ice cream from Muttley Crew.
  • 1 pm: Paper Cutting Craft at Smith-Appleby House. Create a Betsy Ross star just in time for July 4th. Craft is free; admission and tour $5 for adults, kids free.
Sunday, June 30:
  • 12 pm: Public Ice Skating at Smithfield Municipal Ice Rink. $3 admission, $5 skate rental.
