3 Armed Robbery Suspects Arrested, 1 in Hospital
Deputies say the incident happened Thursday afternoon at Hillandale Apartments.
Richland County deputies arrested three people who they say tried to rob a woman of her drugs Thursday at her apartment.
Rashad Bright, 22, Shyking Sermon, 21, and Herbert Smalls 20, are each charged with armed robbery.
Another suspect, who was shot during the incident, is still in serious condition at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital, according to the sheriff's department.

Deputies responded to a shots fired call around 3 p.m. at Hillandale Apartments at 525 Alcott Drive. When they arrived, they saw a 2004 silver Hyundai speeding away.
Deputies stopped the car and found a man with a gunshot wound to the upper body. He was transported to Palmetto Health Richland Hospital.

Investigators later determined that the wounded man, along with Sermon, Bright and Smalls, tried to rob a woman of her drugs.
Sermon, Bright, and Smalls have been transported to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
The sheriff's department is investigating and more arrests are expected.
