Richland One Commissioner Recognized for 20 Years of Service

The South Carolina School Boards Association honored Richland One School Commissioner Vince Ford for 20 years of school board service at Tuesday night's school board meeting.

Board Chairman Dwayne Smiling presented Ford with a special lapel pin and certificate from the SCSBA marking the 20-year milestone. 

Ford is an at-large member of the school board who also works as the vice president for community services at the Palmetto Health Alliance.

He graduated from Benedict College with a bachelor's degree in sociology and from S.C. State University a master’s degree in individual and family development.
