Columbia police officers, Richland sheriff's deputies and University of South Carolina police will camp out on top of two Krispy Kreme locations this week to raise money for the Special Olympics in South Carolina.  Customers who stop at the Krispy Kreme on Garner's Ferry or Clemson Road can make a donation and receive a sweet treat in return starting at noon Wednesday.  Officers and deputies will be stationed at the two locations through 10 p.m. Friday.  All donations will go to local Special Olympics athletes for training, equipment and travel.

Columbia police officers, Richland sheriff's deputies and University of South Carolina police will camp out on top of two Krispy Kreme locations this week to raise money for the Special Olympics in South Carolina.

Customers who stop at the Krispy Kreme on Garner's Ferry or Clemson Road can make a donation and receive a sweet treat in return starting at noon Wednesday.  Officers and deputies will be stationed at the two locations through 10 p.m. Friday.

All donations will go to local Special Olympics athletes for training, equipment and travel.
