Deputies Searching for Armed Robbery Suspect

A man robbed the Kangaroo convenience store on Garners Ferry Road on Feb. 17, deputies say.

Richland County deputies are searching for a man wanted for armed robbery. 

The man walked in to the Kangaroo at 7800 Garners Ferry Road around 5:30 a.m. on Feb. 17 armed with a handgun, according to the sheriff's department. He forced the clerk to put money in the bag and threatened to shoot her if she didn't. 

He then made the clerk go to the back of the store as he fled with the money, according to the sheriff's department.

The man is black and about 5 feet 6 inches tall, deputies say. He possibly has a New York accent. He weighs about 150 pounds, was wearing a grey ski mask with dread locks sticking out, latex gloves, a black coat with a fur-trimmed hood and dark denim jeans.
