Dreher High Seniors Present Showcase of Plays

The showcase features half-hour plays directed by seniors.

Do you enjoy a play that makes you laugh? Or maybe your heart is moved to tears by a stirring drama? How about a production that features a different play every half hour?

Dreher High School’s 13th annual senior-directed showcase of one-act plays, which will be presented April 24-26, may be just what you’re looking for. The “Showcase of Senior Shorts” is an annual theatre tradition featuring the talents of Dreher’s finest actors, technicians and singers.

This year’s line-up of student directors and their plays are as follows:

  • Ali Bradley – The Audition
  • Veronica Brown – Here She Is!
  • Niani Feelings – Scarlett Takes a Tumble (YouTube musical)
  • Adam Rainwater – The Idiot and the Oddity
  • Salomon Smith – The Cop and the Anthem
  • Le’Nora Whittley – Shuffling

The curtain rises at 6 p.m. with a new show starting every 30 minutes. Tickets are $5 at the door. Proceeds will be used for senior arts scholarships.
