The Harbison BIG Ride

This is a multi-club ride with members from the Palmetto Adventure Club, Waccamaw Trail Blazers, & the Sumter Chain Gang participating.

This is an intermediate-level rated ride due to the challenging nature of the terrain & length of ride. We'll ride the "outer loop" at Harbison State Forest with the Lost Creek trail, the Stewardship "hard section," the "infamous" Spider Woman II & her inner loop and the Crooked Pine trail to finish it off. That adds up to 19 miles! Estimated pace will be in the 8-10 mph range.

However, those who do not wish to partake in the entire ride may feel free to join us for the first leg which will take us down Firebreak West trail to the Lost Creek Loop, then once you've completed the loop you can return back to the parking lot for a nice 8-mile ride!

Please bring plenty of fluids, snacks/energy bars and a helmet. Spare tubes/CO2/pump/patch kit are highly recommended but not required. We will also provide a "sag" stop at the midpoint of the ride so folks are encouraged to bring extra food/drinks.

Also, all are welcome to join us for post-ride meal & drinks at one of Columbia's local eateries!

Please note there is a $5 daily parking fee at Harbison OR you can purchase an annual parking tag for $25.
