Pedestrian Struck by Car While Crossing Assembly Street

A pedestrian is in stable condition after she was hit by a car while crossing a street in downtown Columbia Tuesday afternoon.

The Columbia Police Department is investigating a collision in downtown Columbia that sent a pedestrian to a local hospital.

According to a WACH report, police said a woman was struck by a car when she attempted to cross Assembly Street Tuesday afternoon

Police have cited the driver of the vehicle, Laneisha Moskowitz, for failute to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk, the report said.
