Update: Police Arrest 1 Suspect in Jewelry Store Robbery

Update, 1:28 p.m.: Police have arrested one suspect in a jewelry store robbery and are looking for another man, according to reports. 

Police say two men robbed Mim's Jewelry, located at 6780 Garners Ferry Road, jumped in a getaway car and led police on a chase to the Pennington Way subdivision, according to WIS. Their car crashed into a fence and both men fled on foot. 

One man was arrested when police saw him running near Interstate 77, WIS reports. Police are still looking for the other man, but have not released a description.

Original story, 12:12 p.m.: Columbia Police are searching for a jewelry store robber near Interstate 77 and Garners Ferry Road, according to reports.

Police are looking for the robber near the Pennington Way subdivision, according to WIS. 

The robbery happened at Mim's Jewelry, located at 6780 Garners Ferry Road, WIS reports. 

Police chased the robber until the robber's car ran into a fence in near Pennington Road, according to WIS.
