Poll: Are Terrorists Behind Needles in Airplane Food?

Four days after sewing needles appeared in food served on Delta Airlines flights that originated in Amsterdam, people are still scratching their heads over how this all happened. 

According to media reports, the airline said that what appear to be sewing needles were found in six sandwiches on Sunday, and that one passenger on a flight to Minneapolis was injured. Delta spokeswoman Kristin Baur said the other needles were on two flights to Atlanta and one to Seattle. 

And, now Dutch authorities have joined Atlanta FBI officials in figuring out how all this happened.

The sandwiches were made in the Amsterdam kitchen of catering company Gate Gourmet and were to be served to business-class passengers on Delta flights. A company spokeswoman said they don't know how the needles got into the food.

In an article by the Minneapolis StarTribune, a leading preeminent airline security expert said it was probably disgruntled workers or pranksters, but not terrorists.
