'Show Some Love:' Youth Group Aims for 1,000 Hours of Service
Students at Christian Life Church are volunteering around Columbia this week.
A group of students and young leaders at Christian Life Church are reaching out to the Columbia community this week through a service initiative they've named "Show Some Love."
The group — which includes about 60 middle and high school students and 40 leaders and college students — is hoping to complete 1,000 hours of service by Friday.
They're working on projects like feeding the homeless, playing bingo with seniors and holding Bible studies at a women's and children's shelter.

"Our ultimate goal is to share the love of Christ through all that we are doing," said Joy Henderson, one of the student and college pastors at Christian Life Church. "But we know that people don't care how much you know, until they know how much you care."
The outreach initiative started at 8 a.m. Saturday and ends at midnight Friday.
