Teen Charged in Columbia Carjacking
A teenager was arrested Friday on three charges including carjacking in an incident that occurred July 1.

The Columbia Police Department arrested a 17-year-old they say was involved in a carjacking in Columbia on July 1.
Shyiem Marcel Brown is charged with carjacking, armed robbery and criminal conspiracy.
Brown allegedly pointed a handgun at a male victim who was sitting in a car at 3922 West Beltline Boulevard on July 1, according to the police department.
Police say Brown forcibly removed the driver from the front seat and stole the vehicle.
The victim did not require medical attention.

Brown was arrested Friday and is being detained at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
