State corrections officials say an inmate who walked away from a correctional facility over the weekend has been recaptured in Anderson County on Tuesday.
According to a story by WSPA, 34-year-old Andrew McElrath was captured in Anderson County around 4 p.m.
McElrath, who was serving a 15-year sentence for unauthorized use of a vehicle out of Anderson County, escaped Saturday from Wateree River Correctional Institution in Rembert.
