Abraham Lincoln to Visit Anderson County Museum

South Carolina native Gerald Pitts will perform one-act play as Abraham Lincoln and shares stories of our nation's 16th president.

Abraham Lincoln is visiting the Anderson County Museum! On Saturday, February 16th at 1 p.m., the Museum will host Gerald Pitts as Abraham Lincoln. Mr. Pitts as Lincoln will perform a one act play and recount stories of Lincoln’s life from boyhood to presidency. This is a great opportunity to learn more about America’s sixteenth president in a fun setting.

Gerald Pitts is a South Carolina native and is a member of the Association of Lincoln Presenters (ALP). The ALP is a national organization with approximately 166 members who want to share their knowledge and appreciation of Abraham Lincoln with others.

Mr. Pitts has always been a fan of Lincoln and when he read about the ALP in 2007, he realized he had a lot in common with his favorite president, so he joined the organization.
