Allison Hale Wins Pickens County Has Talent
16 contestants took part in Grand Finale of talent contest, which supports area schools.
Allison Hale, an Easley High School student, wowed the audience and won Pickens County Has Talent with her vocal rendition of “How Great Thou Art.” Hale outshone a strong field of 16 contestants to win the competition and the $500 cash prize for first place.
“K2,” the duo of Hannah and Kaitlyn Kearse, came in second place and earned the $300 cash prize with their rendition of the song, “Halleluiah.” Hannah is a student at Anderson University, and Kaitlyn is a student at Easley High School.
Ella Hennessee, a student at East End Elementary school, came in third with her fresh take on the song, “My Favorite Things,” and she took home the $200 cash prize.

In fourth place was Beth Wilson, a Pickens High School Student, with her performance of Michael Jackson’s “Pretty Young Thing.” Taking home the fifth place trophy was pianist Logan McCallum, a Daniel High School student, performing his original composition entitled “Always and Forever.”
Sponsored by Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative, the second year of Pickens County Has Talent raised almost $9,000 for supplies for Pickens County Schools.
