Have you ever met an Oscar Winner?  This might be your only chance so don’t miss out!

As part of our Teen Read Week Celebration, Oscar Winner Dr. Jerry Tessendorf will be speaking at the Hampton Memorial Library in Easley TOMORROW, Thursday, October 20 at 6:30pm.  Dr. Tessendorf, Director of the Master of Fine Arts and the Digital Production Arts program at Clemson University, won an Academy Award for Technical Achievement in 2008 for his work on the movie Titanic.  He has contributed to the making of Waterworld, The X-Men series, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, Night at the Museum, and Superman Returns.  Besides his work on films, Dr. Tessendorf has also authored numerous technical papers and is widely acknowledged throughout the computer graphics industry.
