Thursday, March 15that 7:00pm, Tom Cioffi of Family Promise will present information on how the Interfaith Hospitality Network works and how this model could help homeless families in our community. Congregations in Pickens County can network together to provide, on a rotating basis, overnight accommodations and meals for homeless families. This meeting will be held at Easley First Baptist Church at 300 East 1st Avenue in Easley.Â
The Family Promise Network Program brings shelter, meals and support services to families without homes. Relying on area congregations and volunteers, this program can be implemented rather quickly without major start-up costs. Family Promise is an interfaith-based hospitality network in 41 states.
