
Reggia Higgins Stapleton was named Woman of Accomplishment by Business Professional Women South Carolina at the annual conference last weekend.
Stapleton is currently the director/administrator at J.T. Simpson Alternative Center for Education.
In this role, Stapleton coordinates with all four Pickens County high schools, all five Pickens County middle schools, and the student referrals at the Pickens County Career and Technology center.

Prior to accepting this role in 2011, Stapleton served as assistant administrator of the Alternative Center, interim principal at R.C. Edwards Middle School, assistant principal at Pickens Middle School, and teacher at several high school and middle school locations.
Stapelton has an extensive portfolio of professional and community involvements over the years. Currently, she is actively involved with SCASA, Steering Committee for Smaller Learning Communities, Youth Court, Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education and Delta Kappa Gamma Society International.
In her spare time, Stapleton is part of the Dorothy O. Scott Garden Club and its activities.
