Anderson County Fair Features Concerts Nightly

Concert performers include 38 Special, Outshyne and Colt Ford.

Anderson County officials announced last week the return of the Anderson County Fair.

The fair will be held April 30-May 5 at the Anderson County Civic Center.

The 2013 fair's hours of operation are 4pm – 11pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 4pm to midnight on Friday, 10am to midnight on Saturday and 12:30pm-10pm on Sunday.

In addition to the Eudora Farms Exotic Petting Zoo, Sea Lion Splash Show, Rowdy Rooster Puppet Show, Brian Ruth’s “Master of the Chainsaw”, Horses! Horses! Horses!, and the Great James H. Drew Midway, fair-goers can enjoy nightly concerts at the William A. Floyd Amphitheater, as well as admission and ride specials.

Opening Day at the Anderson County Fair is Tuesday, April 30. On that day, admission is free if you bring a non-perishable food item for Anderson Interfaith Ministries. Purchase unlimited rides for $15. At 7pm, Piedmont Boys and Old Southern Moonshine Revival will perform.

“Student Day” is Wednesday, May 1. The fair offers free admission for students age 18 and under. Purchase unlimited rides for $12. Ross Coppley & Randy Houser will be in concert at 7pm that night.

On Thursday, May 2, enjoy unlimited rides for $15. Outshyne and Colt Ford perform beginning at 7pm.

Friday, May 3 is “Senior Citizens Day”. Seniors age 55 and over will admitted to the fair free. That night's concert is The Classic Rock Experience Featuring Midnight Special. The show begins at 7pm.

On Saturday, May 5, the fair offers free admission and free rides from 10am – 11am. Stool Pigeon and 38 Special perform at 7pm.

Sunday, May 5 is the “Last Blast,” with unlimited rides for $15.
