Anderson County Museum Gala is January 25
"Best Party in Anderson" will feature live band, delicious food and cold beverages set among Anderson County Museum exhibits.

The Friends Board of the Anderson County Museum is planning their annual Winter Night Gala to benefit the upcoming permanent exhibit on transportation. Tickets are now available for the event being held on Friday, January 25.Â
Branded by patrons as the Best Party in Anderson, the gala features a live band, delicious food, and cold beverages set among museum exhibits. The dance band for the evening will be Those Guys, an Anderson based band playing beach music and top 40. Caterer Lark McIntosh promises an irresistible culinary menu to delight the most discrete palates. Individual tickets can be purchased by calling the Anderson County Museum at 864-260-4737.
Also opening that evening is our latest temporary exhibit Brim Full of History. This exhibit showcases a delightful collection of hats from different eras of history. Hats often represent a bold statement of the wearer’s personality which can be practical, whimsical or even outrageous. Until recently, hats for both men and women were worn as part of your everyday dress but now seen only for special occasions. The collection will offer the visitor a chance to see fashion and practicality come together in a unique statement of the hat. Brim Full of History will be on display through June 1, 2013.
