Artist to Paint Portraits at Starving Artist Cafe Sunday

Are you looking for a unique Christmas present this year?
An event Sunday at The Starving Artist Cafe and Gallery might have just what you're looking for.
Joe Goldman, one of the Cafe's Starving Artists, will be creating custom portraits in the cafe's Gallery from 11am – 1pm Sunday.

“The man is an amazing artist,” said Starving Artist Cafe owner Vicki Ciplickas.
Portraits are $30.

“Usually if you sit down with your kids for a portrait, they cost a few hundred bucks,” Ciplickas said. “He'll be doing sketches. It's definitely a gift for grandma and grandpa. Probably the nicest thing you could give them is a sketch or portrait of their grandchildren.”
Ciplickas said she'd like to get local artists more involved at the cafe, making appearances.
“They're all local artists, they all live right here,” she said. “They all live right here.”
While you're at the gallery, have brunch in the cafe. Brunch begins at 10:30am Sunday.
