Arts Council Gearing Up for Falls for the Arts Festival

Festival celebrating the arts will be held 9am to 2pm Saturday, October 6.

"Fall for the Arts" at the Easley Farmer's Market will take place October 6th from 9 am to 2 pm.

The event will be hosted by the newly formed Arts Council of Pickens County.

The day will include activities for everyone from the art entrepeneur to the person viewing art for the first time.

Living artists will be on site demonstrating their skills and explaining the methods used to produce the artwork sold or shared with the community.

Performing artists will include SWU Jazz Band, Greenville Light Opera Works, Fine Arts Center Show Choir and Soloists, Spotlight Dance Company, Easley Dance Conservatory and the winners of Easley's Rising Star Talent Contest.

Artwork will be on display at the Starving Artist Cafe highlighting winning entries from a contest involving local schools.

Artists and artisans will display their works for purchase. Arts Council of Pickens County is excited to offer this opportunity to the community.
