Arts Council of Pickens County To Meet January 14
Meeting to include Board of Directors election and discussion of possible spring festival.

The Arts Council of Pickens County will meet Monday, January 14 at The Starving Artist Cafe in Easley.
The group, which formed last year, will elect a Board of Directors and discuss the possibility of putting on a spring festival, according to Suzanne Goodman, one of the group's founders.
The non-profit's mission is the promotion and advancement of the literary, visual and performing arts in the area.

They hope to create new arts events in the area, support existing artists and artistic events, and work with area schools to promote the arts.
Membership is open to artists or artisans who have a strong desire to see the arts flourish in Pickens County, residents who strongly support the arts in the community and students with a passion for the arts who wish to assist the Arts Council with their mission.

Membership dues are $60 a year.
