“We have seven guns, including 2 Browning Maxus shotguns, a Winchester SX3, a youth model 20 gauge,” Amick said. “We have a special oyster steamer, two Yeti coolers – a 65 quart and a 25 quart, and general waterfowl type merchandise.”
Three different types of T-shirts and Hats and Visors supporting Ducks Unlimited will also be available.
The event promises to be a good time, Amick said.
“It's a social event,” he said. “It's main purpose is to raise money for wetlands conservation. Since 1989, Ducks Unlimited has conserved more than 160,000 acres across the state and invested more than $40 million in wetlands.”
Ducks Unlimited is celebrating its 75 anniversary this year.
The group's members represent a wide range of backgrounds, with a common interest in conservation.
“40 percent of our members are women and 40 percent of our members do not hunt, and those aren't necessarily the same people,” Amick said.
He said the Clemson chapter is working hard to be number one in the state for fundraising, and be in the Sweet 16 among the nation's Ducks Unlimited chapters.”
Student tickets to the banquet are $25 pre-sold or $30 at the door. Adult tickets are $35 pre-sold or $40 at the door.
Tickets can be ordered online or by calling Amick at 1-803-673-2673 or emailing him at wbamick@g.clemson.edu
