Nationwide the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline was $3.891 on Thursday, according to AAA. In South Carolina the average price per gallon is $3.707, compared to $3.883 in North Carolina and $3.805 in Georgia. The most expensive gallon of gas is $4.608 in Hawaii followed by $4.366 in Alaska.
