Nationwide the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline was $3.830 on Thursday, according to AAA. In South Carolina the average price per gallon is $3.635, compared to $3.822 in North Carolina and $3.717 in Georgia. The most expensive gallon of gas is $4.617 in Hawaii followed by $4.357 in Alaska.
