Nationwide the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline was $3.936 on Friday, according to AAA. In South Carolina the average price per gallon is $3.731, compared to $3.912 in North Carolina and $3.851 in Georgia. The most expensive gallon of gas is $4.445 in Hawaii followed by $4.375 in Alaska.
