Each week Patch will round up the best area gas prices using SouthCarolinaGasPrices.com. Headed out of town this weekend, we want you to get the most bang for your buck.

Nationwide the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline was $3.722 on Friday, according to AAA. In South Carolina the average price per gallon is $3.401, compared to $3.610 in North Carolina and $3.503 in Georgia. The most expensive gallon of gas is $4.546 in Hawaii followed by $4.487 in Alaska.
