Building Program's Completion Judy Edward's Focus

Easley school board trustee defeats challengers and wins another term.

Trustee Judy Edwards has been re-elected to the School District of Pickens County Board of Trustees.

Edwards won 3,285 votes, or 42.35 percent of the vote.

Challengers Valerie Ramsey and David Whittemore won 1,708 and 2,738 votes respectively.

Edwards said she looked forward to working with the school board for another four years.

She said she wanted to thank all of her supporters.

“I look forward with working with our teachers and our students and doing what’s best for them,” Edwards said.

She said her priorities would be the completion of the district’s building program.

“I want to see it completed and completed in the fashion that we started it,” she said.

“I want to make sure we’re doing it right,” Edwards said. “That we’re not cutting corners just because we’re nearing the end. I want to make sure we finish it and we finish it right. “
