Cannon Hospital and McDonald’s of Pickens Partner for Heart Health Month

Business, hospital teaming up to educate community about making decisions benefitting their hearts and overall health

February is Heart Health Month and Cannon Memorial Hospital has partnered with a local fast food restaurant to help get the message out concerning lifestyle changes that could save your life.

McDonald’s of Pickens will be using custom trayliners designed by Cannon during the month of February that contain information about heart health and a listing of discounted testing available through Cannon Hospital’s Wellness Department.

“At first it seems like an unusual partnership because fast food is not what you think of when it comes to heart health,” said Amanda Dow, Director of Community Relations for Cannon Hospital.

“But McDonald’s in Pickens uses an average of 6,000 trayliners in one month and our goal is to educate as many people in our community about how to make better decisions, even with fast food, that will benefit their heart and their overall health for years to come.”
