Cannon Hospital’s Annual Golf Tournament Proves Successful
Auxiliary raises over $8,000 towards purchase of new dishwasher for hospital.

Cannon Hospital’s Auxiliary hosted another successful golf tournament at The Rock, raising a little over $8,000.
“The support for our tournament was outstanding and we are so grateful to everyone who played a part, especially our sponsors and those individuals and companies who donated items,” said Amanda Dow, Director of Community Relations at Cannon.
The sponsors of the event included: Title sponsor, Progressive Builders, Emeritus at Countryside Village, Northland Cable, Cameron Construction, AIG Valic, Advanced Family Dentistry, The Gravely Law Firm, Yeary Electrical, OWT, Aflac, Pickens Savings and Loan, Behavioral Health Services of Pickens County, Greater Pickens Chamber of Commerce, Radon Medical Imaging Corporation, Duke Energy, Family Eye Care- Dr. William Spearman, PAI, and Patrick MacRae,DMD.

The proceeds from this year’s tournament will be donated to the hospital to help purchase a new dishwasher at a cost of $32,000.
The volunteers made a commitment to the hospital to purchase this new piece of equipment and this year’s golf tournament was the biggest fundraiser that will go toward that.

Golfers at the tournament were treated to breakfast donated by Bojangles, BBQ lunch by The Parkette, and fresh baked desserts donated by The GateHouse.
1st place in the tournament was awarded to the Progressive Builder’s team: Henry Bivens, Steve Roach, Stephen Roach and Michael Jordan, who received golf for 4 to The Reserve and each a dozen golf balls donated by TaylorMade.
