Cannon's Fitness Classes Moving to Pickens Senior Center

Move will allow hospital to offer more classes.

The fitness program provided by Cannon Hospital will move its fitness classes from the Pickens Recreation Center to the Pickens Senior Center on Schoolhouse Street as of January 7, 2013.

The move will allow for a larger work out area and expanded classes.  “We will continue to offer the same classes that we have in the past with the same instructors, but this move will give us about double the space we had at the Recreation Department and allow us to expand the schedule,” said Amanda Dow, Director of Community Relations at Cannon Hospital.

The move includes two new additional classes specifically for senior fitness, plus the hospital has invested in some new equipment for the program.  Cannon’s fitness program started over 20 years ago at the hospital as a means of providing exercise to the community at a reasonable price.  For more information on the fitness program or to see a full schedule of classes log onto www.CannonHospital.org.
