Clark To Take Sheriff's Oath Sunday

The county's first new sheriff in over 40 years will be sworn in Sunday evening.

Sheriff-elect Rick Clark will take his Oath of Office Sunday, December 30 at Rock Springs Baptist Church in Easley.

The Oath of Office ceremony will be held during the regular Sunday night service at 6pm, Clark said.

The public is invited to attend the Sunday night service and Oath of Office ceremony.

“I am excited that I can start my term as Sheriff of Pickens County in my church,” Clark said. “Pastor Gallamore and Rock Springs mean a lot to me and my family and it seemed the perfect place to start my next phase of public service. I ask for continued prayers for the deputies and staff of the Sheriff's Office as we start this new mission together for the citizens of Pickens County.”
