Clemson's Osher Lifelong Learning to Hold Open House January 17

OLLI members can preview the new semester, sign up for classes, meet their professors, and get information on a wide offering of special programs

The other day something rare happened: I saw a bumper sticker that I actually agreed with.

It said “The Truly Educated Never Graduate.”

I think learning is truly a lifelong experience.

That sentiment tied in perfectly with an interview with one of my favorite filmmakers, Guillermo Del Toro (Hellboy, Pan's Labyrinth, The Devil's Backbone) that I watched the other day.

He said he believes that when you lose your curiosity, you start to get old.

I think it's important to remain curious about the world around you and to try new things.

That's a philosophy that I think Osher Lifelong Learning shares.

On January 17, the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Clemson University will be hosting its Spring 2013 Kick Off, an open house event where OLLI members can preview the new semester, sign up for classes, meet their professors, and get information on a wide offering of special programs to be held throughout the semester.

The open house will take place at the Charles K. Cheezem Education Center, 100 Thomas Green Blvd., Clemson, SC 29631 from 10 a.m. to noon and will also feature refreshments and door prizes for attendees.

OLLI membership is open to any adult who is age 50 and better.

You can find about how to become a OLLI member here.
