Concrete Primary Promotes the Arts and Lends a Helping Hand

Students, parents, and faculty of Concrete Primary School recently joined together at an event called “Art That Makes a Difference - Clay Night” on February 12th.  This event was a huge success! It was hosted at the school by Christie Wright, Concrete’s Art teacher. 

Everyone participated in creating and painting clay Pinch Pots and Pinch Pot Creatures while enjoying light refreshments and visiting the Book Fair.

While making art and memories with their families, Concrete families were helping others too.

A portion of funds generated by this event is being used to make fleece blankets for the children of Helping Hands.

Helping Hands is a foster home and emergency shelter for abused and neglected children in our area.  The home serves children from Anderson, Greenville, Oconee and Pickens counties.  Helping Hands has become one of South Carolina’s largest emergency shelters for children.
