CVS Robbery Suspect Crashes Car, Shoots Himself

FoxCarolina.com reports that a man suspected in several CVS pharmacy robberies in Greenville was involved in a car chase that started in Anderson County and ended in Liberty.

According the article, the Anderson County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a domestic call on Cherry Street in the Pendleton area off of Highway 178 and when they arrived, the suspect was spotted threatening a woman then got in a car and fled.

The suspect wrecked outside of the Liberty city limits at the intersection of Terrapin Crossing and Belle Shoals roads and shots were fired, the article said.

According to Pickens County Sheriff's Office the man,

Pickens County Coroner Kandy Kelley confirmed in a release that Couch's death was being investigated as a suicide. According to the coroner's office, Couch's car ran into another automobile before he shot himself. An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday. The South Carolina Highway Patrol, South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, Pickens County Coroner's Office and Pickens County Sheriff's Office are investigating. 

Couch, a 38-year-old from Marietta, had been wanted for several pharmacy robberies in the Greenville area.
