District Brings Teachers To The Workplace

The School District of Pickens County (SDPC) is excited to announce the Educators in the Workplace program to be held on October 15, 2012.

The school district plans to send more than 150 teachers into various businesses in Pickens County from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. The mission for this event is for our teachers to share with students the expectations and skills required in today’s workplace.

The goal is also to give teachers a better understanding of how the subjects they teach are used in today’s workplace and raise awareness of the technology that our area businesses expect students to be familiar with. We would like to invite every business in Pickens County to participate.
