Easley Baseball Upset at Byrnes, Softball Falls to Boiling Springs

Both Easley teams district dreams end in Spartanburg

Both Easley teams fought their way to the district championships, but the Green Wave crashed in Spartanburg County on Wednesday.

Easley baseball went up against Byrnes High School for a second time during the playoffs. The Rebels had dealt the Green Wave their first loss on Saturday. After fighting their way back to contention, it was again Byrnes that would squash that dream.

Easley needed to beat Byrnes twice to take the district title. But the team would fall short in the first game, 3-2.
