Easley Business and Professional Women to Meet Nov. 21

Speaker is Stacie Thompson of New Morning Foundation, "Watchdog Advocate Group for Women."

The Easley Business and Professional Women’s Club will meet at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, at the Captain Kimberly Hampton Memorial Library in Easley.

The speaker will be Stacie Thompson of New Morning Foundation, “Watchdog Advocate Group for Women." Ever wondered 'what are they thinking at the Statehouse?' Thompson will give you answers during her presentation, "Advocacy Made Simple: 'Bee' Part of a Unified Voice of Reason." Thompson will explain the legislative process, advocacy and how to make your voice heard.

Thompson is a community outreach coordinator for “Tell Them." She completed an asssociate’s degree in criminal justice from Tri-County Technical College (1993) a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Southern Wesleyan University (1997) and a master’s degree in youth development leadership from Clemson University (2006). Prior to joining Tell Them, Thompson worked for more than 15 years in the youth development/teen pregnancy prevention field.

Thompson has one son, Cameron, who is a student at Anderson University. In her spare time, Thompson enjoys being a mentor with A Better Path of Life a Single Parent’s Ministry and is very active at Power House Christian Church.

This event will be a terrific networking opportunity for all women. Come and bring a friend. The cost of the catered lunch is $10 per person.
