Deputies: Easley Sex Offender Assaulted Girl, 3

Pickens County Sheriff's deputies have arrested an Easley sex offender accused of sexually assaulting a three-year-old girl.

Jerry Dudley, 42, of 332 Apple Hill Road, Easley, is charged with kidnapping, criminal sexual conduct first degree, and intent to inflict great bodily injury upon a child.

Deputies were called to Dudley's home on Friday evening, according to Fox Carolina, after he was accused of luring a toddler to a wooded area behind his house.

Dudley was denied bond at a hearing Saturday morning. According to the South Carolina Sex Offender Registry, Dudley was convicted of sexual battery of a child less than 12 years of age in 1989 in the state of Florida.

The victim is undergoing treatment at an area hospital.
