Easley Man Shot, Killed by Police

Senovio "Novi" Maldonado, 19, of Easley was shot and killed in downtown Greenville by officers who stopped his assault on another man, according to police.

An Easley man was shot and killed by police early Sunday morning in Greenville after they stopped his assault on another man.

According to WYFF, Greenville police broke up an altercation around 12:45 a.m. on Brown Street.

Police told the television station that Senovio "Novi" Maldonado, 19, of Easley was beating another man with a baseball bat. Maldonado allegedly then charged at police with the bat and the two officers on scene fired at him.

Maldonado died at the scene.

The assault victim was taken to the hospital for his injures, according to the article.
