"Though I was born in Fort Knox, Kentucky, I first called Easley home when I was just a little boy.

I attended kindergarten at . Then it was off to Goose Creek, S.C., and then to New Orleans before my family and I returned to Easley.

I graduated from in 1999, then went down the road to Clemson, where I graduated with a bachelor's degree in English. I started working at in 2006 and was named editor of The Pickens Sentinel in 2008. I also served as the editor of The Powdersville Post for about a year.

I'm excited about the opportunity to work for Patch and to serve as the local editor for the Easley community. Our brand of local journalism gives us the chance to tell the stories that are important to you — the stories that might be overlooked elsewhere. I'm thrilled to be working for Patch and in a community that I've called home for well over half my life."
