Easley Residents Among New Delta Alpha Pi Inductees
11 new members inducted into Clemson University Chapter Delta Alpha Pi Honor Society

Local Clemson University students were among 11 inducted into the Nu Chapter of Delta Alpha Pi Honor Society during a Feb. 22 ceremony.
Delta Alpha Pi, founded in 2004 at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania, recognizes the academic accomplishments of honor students who have disabilities. The three Greek letters stand for disability, achievement and pride.

Dennis Logan Roberts of Easley, a senior majoring in history. "At Clemson University, I am a President's List recipient, involved in multiple on and off-campus organizations, a member of various Honor Societies, the National Notary Association and a mentor for other students with documented disabilities," he said. "To me, Delta Alpha Pi is the most important honor society."
Kristy Stein of Easley, a freshman majoring in biological sciences. Stein aspires to become a physical therapist upon graduating from Clemson University.

Students who meet the criteria receive a letter of invitation to participate in Delta Alpha Pi. All invited students with a documented disability must work with Student Disability Services and demonstrate an interest in disability issues. Undergraduate students must have completed a minimum of 24 credits and attained a cumulative grade point average of 3.10. Graduate students must have completed a minimum of 18 credits and earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.30.
