Money Smart Classes Starting for Adults

by a trained Americorps member at the Hampton Memorial Library in Easley. Classes will be held on each Tuesday
throughout October. The Money Smart curriculum, developed by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation
(FDIC), strives to help individuals enhance their financial skills and create financial stability. There will be one
course geared specifically for teens (17 and under), and another course for adults (18 and up).

Adults are invited to attend the following classes at 7pm at the Hampton Memorial Library in Easley:
Tuesday, October 2 - The Plan! Learn about budgeting.
Tuesday, October 9 - Banks! Learn about checking, saving, and accountability.
Tuesday, October 16- Borrowing! Learn about renting money, credit, financial recovery, and identity theft.
Tuesday, October 23- Income and Expenses! Learn to earn more, keep more, and how to pay for college.
Tuesday, October 30- The American Dream! Learn about houses, IRAs, investing, and taxes.
